An applicant will be considered for Associate Membership of the BVPA if he/she is either:
- A research worker engaged in active research in relation to the poultry industry
- The technical advisor for a company servicing the poultry industry and has a suitable degree and experience relevant to his/her role in advising on aspects of poultry health and welfare. The primary role of this applicant would be technical adviser.
The applicant will be expected to contribute actively to the Association. This will include attendance to at least one meeting during a 2 year period. The member will be expected to contribute to the technical content of the meetings by giving a paper within the first 2 years of membership.
